What Makes Allwear Different from Regular Activewear?

Discover how Allwear differs from conventional activewear with natural primary fibers, no polyester or nylon, PFAS-free fabrics, and non-toxic everyday comfort.

Activewear has become everyday wear. We wear leggings to run errands, joggers on flights, hoodies while working from home, and performance-inspired basics throughout the week. But while activewear has changed the way we dress, many customers are starting to ask a different question:

What is actually in the clothing we wear all day?

That is where Allwear takes a different approach.

Instead of building its collection around polyester and nylon, Allwear uses natural primary fibers such as organic cotton, Tanboocel® bamboo, and TENCEL™ Modal. The brand’s Clean Standard™ also requires independent fabric testing and excludes substances such as PFAS, BPA, formaldehyde, pesticide residue, and toxic azo dye finishing.

For shoppers who want comfort without relying on synthetic-heavy activewear, that difference matters.

Most Activewear Starts with Synthetics

Walk into almost any activewear store and you will see polyester and nylon everywhere. These materials are common because they can stretch, dry quickly, and be produced at scale.

But conventional does not automatically mean ideal for every customer.

Polyester and nylon are synthetic materials, and many people who are moving toward cleaner food, skincare, home products, and personal care are now asking whether their wardrobe should reflect those same priorities.

Allwear was built around that question.

The brand states that it uses no polyester or nylon in any product. Instead, natural fibers form the primary material in every garment. When stretch is required, select pieces use small amounts of BPA-free elastane that is OEKO-TEX verified.

The result is activewear-inspired clothing that feels familiar but starts with a very different material philosophy.

Natural Primary Fibers Come First

Allwear works mainly with three core materials: organic cotton, Tanboocel® bamboo, and TENCEL™ Modal.

Organic cotton is used in pieces such as joggers, sweatshirts, hoodies, trousers, cargos, tees, socks, and sweat shorts. It gives garments a breathable, soft, substantial feel that works well for everyday wear.

Tanboocel® bamboo is used in close-to-skin and movement-focused pieces such as leggings, bras, bra tops, boxer briefs, underwear, and other soft essentials. According to Allwear, the fiber is produced through a closed-loop process in which more than 99% of solvents are recovered and reused.

TENCEL™ Modal is used in lightweight tops and layering pieces. It offers a smooth, lightweight feel and is sourced from FSC-certified beechwood.

Instead of making every product from the same synthetic formula, Allwear chooses different fibers based on how the garment should feel and function.

The Clean Standard™ Goes Beyond Fabric Names

Calling something “natural” or “organic” is not enough on its own. Processing, dyes, finishes, and treatments also matter.

That is why Allwear created The Clean Standard™.

The company says every fabric is independently tested through OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and verified free from PFAS, BPA, formaldehyde, pesticide residue, and more than 100 harmful substances. Organic cotton products are also tied to GOTS certification, bamboo products to OCS, and TENCEL™ Modal to FSC sourcing.

Allwear also states that every garment uses azo-free, non-toxic dyes.

For customers, this makes shopping simpler. You do not have to rely only on a soft fabric description or a “clean” marketing claim. The materials and certifications are part of the product story.

Designed for More Than the Gym

Another major difference is that Allwear does not position its clothing as gym-only apparel.

The brand describes its essentials as clothing for “morning, movement, work, rest, repeat.”

That is an important distinction.

A pair of Bamboo Leggings can work for a walk, errands, travel, or lounging. Organic Joggers can move from home to the airport to a casual lunch. A Bamboo Bra Top can serve as a first layer, lounge piece, or part of an easy active-inspired outfit.

Allwear is less about dressing for one specific workout and more about creating clothing that supports the whole day.

Thoughtful Fit Matters Too

Allwear also offers many pieces in sizes XXS through 7XL, reflecting the brand’s message that clean clothing should be available to more bodies.

Certain products include thoughtful fit details too. Bamboo Pocket Leggings, for example, feature a no-front-rise seam, flexible gusset, squat-proof fit, and a size range from XXS to 7XL.

These are practical features, not just aesthetic ones. They help make the clothing easier to live in.

Everyday Comfort Without the Synthetic-Heavy Formula

The biggest difference between Allwear and regular activewear is not one feature. It is the overall approach.

Natural primary fibers instead of polyester or nylon. Independent testing instead of vague clean claims. Everyday versatility instead of gym-only design. Inclusive sizing instead of a narrow fit range.

That combination gives customers another option in a category that has long been dominated by synthetic fabrics.

Why It Matters When You Wear It All Day

Activewear is no longer something many people wear for only an hour. It may stay on from morning until evening.

When clothing becomes that constant, what it is made from becomes more meaningful.

Allwear gives customers a way to choose soft, functional, versatile essentials while being more intentional about fabric composition and chemical standards.

If you want activewear-inspired comfort but prefer natural primary fibers and independently verified non-toxic standards, Allwear offers a different path.

Not just performance clothing.

Everyday clothing, made cleaner.
